Description:
Elsie who now goes by the name Latte is a very nice dog, in addition to being a great pet & family member she also likes to hunt :) - but needs some more recall training/work before working off leash. She has an exuberance for life & is learning some 'manners' so she may not be suitable for young or small children since in her jest for life she may accidentally knock a little person over :), but she does enjoy children, adults and other dogs.  Elsie loves to swin & play in the water, she will even 'dig' & splash around in her water bowl - too cute!

Elsie/Latte is a German Shorthaired Pointer, docked tail, dew claws removed.  Elsie was bounced around between a couple shelters due to space to help spare her life. LDDR & I as a foster home stepped up to take her into the rescue when a great group who offered to help with transport! She would love to have her own family with a fenced in yard to adopt her as their own.

Elsie/Latte was adopted from LDDR along with Mannheim 4 1/2 years ago, but due to a change in their adopter's life/living arrangements they are now back with their original foster mom and looking for their forever homes! Their "mom" is deeply saddened and said they made her life very full!

This girl is good with kids, cats and canines. She is very loyal and people oriented and will follow her human around the home. Her prior owner described her as smart, super affectionate and "practically perfect." She should  not have more than 2-3 steps in her home that she has to navigate as she has a hard time with stairs.

Why not start each day with a nice Latte? Contact LDDR and ask to meet Elsie/Latte.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
