Description:
4/1/10: Tanya needs some work on her housebreaking. She is an excellent dog and very sweet personality, but will need some proper training in this space. For anyone willing to foster her, we would be happy to connect you with a trainer who could possibly help in this area. 1/18/10 Update Tanya is now 61 lbs. and recently went to the vet and found out she is around 4-5 years old. She is great on walks and runs, and she is very quiet - not a barker at all! She has never shown any aggression.Tanya is a very sweet girl who loves to be loved and to give love back!! She acts very shy/insecure but after getting to know/trust you, she does show excitement when she sees you! She has been learning to sit patiently when serving her meals. When she first got to her foster home she would beg when you sat down to eat but she is learning to go and lay in her bed during that time now. She is also learning the command stay. She also did not go on furniture or beds when she came here but her foster mom is teaching her that if she is invited on the bed or sofa she can go on. I believe she is very smart and always looks for direction from the human. Tanya is very laid back and would be well suited for a one person home, but she is also living with three boys and is doing fine around a more active home!! Tanya is brand new but what a beauty she is . She is just a friendly happy go lucky girl who wants to be loved and to give love. She is a shepherd mix of about 50 pounds and is about 2 years old . We will have more info and pictures later . The foster family says she is just a great dog she is housebroke and follows the foster mom around the house and she is great with her children . What a great dog ! Attention Petfinder Users: To learn more about this dog and to fill out an application to adopt, please visit our website at www.lastdaydogrescue.org Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.Other Pictures of Tanya-Adopted (click to see larger version):
