Florence and the machine! Florence is a beautiful Staffordshire terrier! She’s estimated to be around 1-2 years old. Florence also responds to momma because when she came to Last Day Dog Rescue she was pregnant with what we would later find out was a total of nine puppies! Florence was found on the streets of Detroit pregnant, heart-worm positive and with kennel cough that later turn into pneumonia. She’s definitely had a ruff start to life but you wouldn’t be able to tell by how sweet she is! She’s definitely going to need a bit more training and someone who is willing to work with her as she’s still learning how to be a dog. Florence is slow to trust people but when she does, you have a loyal friend for life. Florence lives with two children in her foster home ages 1 and 4 and absolutely loves them but does get scared when things get to loud and fast. So would probably do best in a home with older children. Florence is a little fearful of men but with slow introductions gets over it. She absolutely loves her foster mom and just wants to to be her center of attention at all times. Florence does very well in a crate/ walking on a leash/ in the car but is still working on potty training.
Florences ideal situation would be one where she could be the only dog in the house. But she promises to give you all the love you could ever need! A person to call her own is all she really needs.

Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
