Hi ya! My name is Spock and I'm a pretty mellow dude. I totally lost track of when my birthday is, but the vet thinks I'm under 2 years old. I've been in my foster home for over 3 months. It was a rough start as I was scared of SO many things. With my mom's patience and attention, I am learning to be brave in this big world and I will soon be ready for a forever home. The ideal home for me will be one that is calm without much excitement. I'll need patient owners who have knowledge of or are willing to learn about dog body language so they can respond to my fears and continue to boost my confidence. I am a sweet and gentle boy, so give me a chance. I am good with other dogs - it brings me out of my shell. It might help if I go to a home with another dog - one who is calm, confident and optimistic. I lived with cats at a previous foster home and did okay. I really look forward to daily walks. This is when I am happiest. I'm okay on a leash - but I do like to stop and smell the roses frequently. Are you willing to stroll with me? If you are interested, please fill out an application. My foster mom is searching for the perfect home for me - one that will be just right for my quirky self. Non smoking homes only please. She doesn't know what I've been through but she suspects I missed out on a lot. She will tell you more when you two talk. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
