Description:

11/6/2009: Now that we've had Sadie a few weeks, we know a little more about her! S he is extremely well-mannered in the house. She LOVES playing with my dog Harley, and will chase the cats if they run. I really don’t think she would hurt them though. She loves my dog Harley and gives him kisses all the time. She is the happiest dog, always wagging her tail. Whoever gets her will be very happy. She walks extremely well on a leash and gets very excited when she gets to go outside. She loves sniffing around the backyard and must be kept on a leash or watched very closely as she will take off into the woods if she hears something, but she can’t run that fast so even if someone didn’t have a fenced in yard, like me, as long as she has a long leash or lead that you can grab onto if she starts running it will work out fine. She loves playing tug-of-war with a rope toy. Last night she was chasing my dog around the back yard trying to get the rope from him. It was too funny. She is in my laundry room with a gate up during the day and she is just fine. She is totally housebroken although she did have one accident in my computer room, which is carpet. Since she’s been in the laundry room (all tile) no accidents.  So like I said, she is an absolutely wonderful dog and whoever gets her will be very lucky! I still haven’t heard her bark yet either (a huge bonus). I really can’t think of anything bad about the dog, except for the cat chasing, but it seems that she only does that when they run. She can walk right by the cat and she doesn’t do anything.

10/19/2009: Sadie is an absolute sweetheart! She came from a shelter up north, and is a new arrival at LDDR so we don't know much about her yet. What we do know is that she is spayed, up to date on shots, and is fully housebroken. We also know that she likes to chase cats which is no fun for a cat. We are working with her on commands.

Please feel free to inquire about Sadie. We will post more details as we get to know her better! Sadie is currently in need of a foster and is staying at a boarding kennel. Please contact
ourlastdaydogs@gmail.com if you are able to watch her for any length of time.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
