Description:
My name is Anastasia because I was days away from being euthanized when my foster parents said "send her to Michigan, we will take her".  My name means "resurrection".  They mostly call me Ana!  Or Little Miss.  Or Little Girl.

I have a broken femur that is healing but it doesn't stop me or slow me down.  When it bothers me I just carry it along, but I keep going!

I am crate trained and house trained and am working on learning basic commands.  I am doing alright with those! I am very protective of my food and water. I didn’t always know when I was going to get more so I like to keep it safe and not share.

I would love another high energy pup to play with if possible.  But am still learning how to leave well enough alone when another dog says they don't wanna play!  I just don't understand why they don't want to play all day long!  So if the pup can be playful and patient with me as I learn that would be great.

I love be near my people all the time but if you kennel me I will settle down in a few minutes and be ok all day if you have to work.  When you come home though we need to play play play!

They think I am a jack russell mixed with a cattle dog.  So I need a job to do and I am smart enough to learn.

I would love a fenced yard to play in but I am also fairly quiet and might do ok in an apartment as long as you have a strong commitment to training and exercise.

If my foster parents are correct on my breed mix, then I might get destructive if bored.

I have not been tested with cats or children yet.  But foster momma says that although I am small (only about 30 lbs) I am fast and might knock a real young one down while playing.

We haven't been able to go on a walk yet.  But they think I will like those too!

Oh and on cool mornings/days I like a nice sweater.  I am from Texas after all and ya'll have some crazy cold weather up here!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
