MEET ZACK!

THIS WONDERFUL BOY IS NOW IN A FOSTER HOME! WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR ZACK, HE HAS WAITED VERY PATIENTLY FOR A VERY LONG TIME!!! ZACK IS INCREDIBLY HAPPY TOO, SMILING AND WALKING AROUND THE HOME VERY PROUDLY!! ZACK IS A VERY NICE GOOD BOY. WE DON'T KNOW WHY HIS FOREVER FAMILY HASN'T FOUND HIM YET, BUT WE KNOW THEY ARE OUT THERE AND WILL FIND HIM SOON! If you want a real people dog Zack is for you! He is very smart already knows many many commands and is anxious to learn more! He is a beautiful dog too and is not too big for any home. He so deserves to be in a home where he can relax and know he is safe once and for all and is finally home! He's been such a trooper thru being in a nasty cold shelter to a long transport to us and was kenneled until now! When he came to us he had an ear infection and hematoma on his ear that has now been taken care of and we think he is on the road to good luck! We think he deserved this chance, don't you? Our experience with Zack is that he is a very nice boy, loving and quite affectionate, altho he is not the typical fun loving lab most people are familiar with. He does like to play with toy ropes tho! He is extremely good with people, loves loves people to pieces and knows his commands and listens well. Zack is very strong and can be quite playful and should not be in a home with children for this reason and because he prefers a more peaceful environment. He entertains himself with toys so can be left alone for periods of time if you have to work. Please consider this handsome boy! This guy has loads of potential to be a great loyal companion for years to come, please consider Zack for your home. Zack will be best as an only pet altho he does do well with dogs of his choice but will do great as a loyal happy companion to his person taking walks and just hanging out in the yard. He's not a big barker at all and deserves to be happy!

Zack was due to be gassed in an Ohio shelter and we couldn't let this happen to him. Zack loves people, he's very affectionate with them and needs to be in a home to be loved! He's about 2.5 years old, so way past the puppy stage things! Zack weighs 65 pounds!

*DISCLAIMER: We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.

*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. Most often we do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

*YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO APPLY FOR AN ADOPTION.

*WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
