MEET TAFFY!

Taffy is now with us and we are happy to have her! Taffy is about 4 years old and is as sweet as can be! She weighs about 12-15 pounds and is full grown. Taffy is enjoying play with the other small canine dog in her foster home. They are having fun even pretending to fight with small happy growls! Taffy is very smart too. She will sit and wait to get her leash on to go outside and also sit to get it taken off when coming back in. She isn't fond of a collar and should have a harness on for walks. Taffy likes to be brushed and combed and this also helps to keep any shedding to a minimum. She took her nail trim nicely too. She may have an accident now and again but is making progress and is understanding where she is supposed to go outside. Many dogs will do this when going into a new home and most learn quickly. She hasn't been around children but likely will be good with them as she shows no aggression whatsoever. However, due to her size, she may be better placed with bigger children who know how to treat and respect a dog properly. Taffy also likes to jump and may scratch small children. She is learning not to do this and is catching on quickly! Taffy loves to sleep in bed and under blankets. Taffy is an all around sweet and loving girl who will make her special person/family very lucky to have her!

A Note from Last Day Dog Rescue: This wonderful dog is just one of many in our care right now. Your sponsorship will help us provide shelter, food, vetting, and tender loving care for our dogs until they find new loving homes. Adoption fees do not cover our expenses, so your sponsorship will make a positive impact on our organization and especially on our dogs’ well being. We are not a chapter or affiliate of any national animal organization. We are, moreover, very grateful for your generosity. Please click to sponsor this great dog! Thank you!

*DISCLAIMER: We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.

*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. Most often we do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

*YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO APPLY FOR AN ADOPTION.

*WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
