Lucky needs a foster from 12/28-1/11 while his foster family takes an international trip. Please email ourlastdaydogs@gmail.com if you are able to pet sit this guy for a while.

Lucky is a happy little guy who likes to play with toys, chew raw-hides or just chill on the couch. He likes it best at home and is not eager on car rides or social visits. Lucky does not object to a short ride every now and again if he can see out the windows. Lucky gets along very well with all other dogs and does play well with dogs of all sizes. Although not more than 20 lbs he very fond of food and he is protective of his food. Lucky would benefit from obedience training, he does not really know any tricks yet but he is working on basic commands like SIT. Lucky needs a owner who is willing to work with him, he is a bit nervous and scared in new situations and with new people. Once he warms up he is a total lover-boy who wants to be close to his human most of the time. Lucky barks when someone approaches the house, but does not bark otherwise. He does not like to be alone at home and would do best with someone who is at home most of the day or works part time. Lucky accepts his crate but does not like to be crated, but he needs to be crated when alone at home.

Lucky came from a high-kill shelter up north. He was so scared it was hard to see his real personality.

We took a chance and he is just wonderful. He gets along well with my other foster dog Lucy and the neighbors dog.

Lucky is housebroken and does not bark. He is quiet even though the other dog is going off barking wild.

He is a very sweet little guy indeed. Lucky is about a year old weighs about 20 pounds will make a great pet to have.
Lucky is also a playful little dog that likes to run around the yard, chew raw-hides and to play with squeaky toys.
I don’t know if he likes cats. He is not good with small children as he is a young dog and does mouth off at times. He would do best in a home someone is at home most of the day or works part time.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
