Description:
Jojo is a great family dog in fact that is what he was! He lived with a family with kids, cats, and other dogs. The economy changed his life drastically when the family he loved lost their home and he ended up on death row at a rural shelter. Hey this boy is great! He is housebroken and knows some commands all he needs now is a new family to love .                                                                                                                                                       UPDATE: Jojo has been with his foster family now for a few days and all they can say is he is a great dog. He settled right in and has been perfectly content with all the activity going on in a busy house of 5 people. He gets along wonderfully with the 2 year old child and even doesn`t mind the "excited to have you join the family" dog that is always wanting him to play. He is starting to romp more in the backyard with her, but is being careful due to the size difference. He LUVS to play tug of war and he is a strong boy. Jojo will bark if there is a need to, but will quiet right down when told to. He sits on command, does not beg or come around the dinner table at supper time, has not jumped on anyone, does not get onto the furniture, takes a bath in the tub without any major problems, and is quite content to spend much of his time outside lounging in the sun (good thing its been getting warmer!). Jojo does not like to be crated (he will bark if left alone in the crate), but he has already proven himself fully trustworthy and he can be left at home for longer periods of time without having any problems at all. He likes to go on walks and just leans into people to get a good back or ear rub. He`ll roll onto his back to get a tummy rub too. He is fully housebroken and has not marked once inside the house (although he does mark the female`s spots when outside). He eats when he wants and is definitely not a chow hound at all. With his thick fur, he has surprised his foster mom that he isn`t a heavy shedder.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             He is a fantastic companion for anyone. He has such a quiet disposition, and so full of love. He`s just waiting for his forever family to come take him home. Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
