MEET JOEY AND LINCOLN!

Joey (Shep mix) and Lincoln (Black Lab mix) are now with us! Joey is a little bundle of happiness and love but is shy. They came from a high kill shelter on his last day and is now looking for his forever home. Both are good with other dogs and Joey may do well with cats too! They love people loves and to play fetch. Both are crate trained and housebroken. Joey is a clown and loves to climb on things. He knows his basic commands and is working on his leash skills. He loves to gives kisses and just sit on your lap. Joey is a small to medium size and medium to high energy, as he is still just a puppy under a year old. He has the most beautiful reddish coat with black markings. Lincoln is a sweet guy and walks well on the lead and enjoys going on walks. He knows sit and is crate trained. He is pretty calm for a young lab. Lincoln is a very nice boy! We hope to find the boys a forever home together as they really enjoy being in each others company and are quite bonded to one another. Neither dog has been in a home with children for most of their lives but may do well in a home with an older respectful child. Both are loving and affectionate! Please check back soon for more about Joey and Lincoln as we learn more about them! Better pics soon too!

A Note from Last Day Dog Rescue: This wonderful dog is just one of many in our care right now. Your sponsorship will help us provide shelter, food, vetting, and tender loving care for our dogs until they find new loving homes. Adoption fees do not cover our expenses, so your sponsorship will make a positive impact on our organization and especially on our dogs’ well being. We are not a chapter or affiliate of any national animal organization. We are, moreover, very grateful for your generosity. Please click to sponsor this great dog! Thank you!

*DISCLAIMER: We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. We depend on opinions from shelter staff and veterinarians among others to provide us with their best assessments regarding both breed and approximate age to the best of their ability.

*PLEASE NOTE: We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. We do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

*YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO APPLY FOR AN ADOPTION.

*WE DO NOT ADOPT OUT OF STATE.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
