Description:
Hero was named Hero for a very good reason, he was found at the side of a road protecting, and keeping warm 4 little pups. The mother was no where in sight and was never found but its a good thing Hero was there, if it wasn't for him the pups would have died from exposure, hit by a car, or killed by other animals. This was very unusual thing for a male dog to do, so we thought he was definitely worth saving as his time was up at the shelter, the 4 pups were adopted but he was left behind. Now its time for this wonderful guy to find a home. he is about a year old. We believe he is a Shepard mix of some kind, no aggression at all towards other dogs, kids, or cats. he has a medium build of about 45lbs. He wants to please all of us, and when you correct him on anything he listens and minds, Hero is housebroken and lets you know when he needs to go out. he does chew, so just provide him with toys and chewables like rawhides and kongs, and he's set to go while you're gone. He is a great dog and would fit in any kind of home. ask to meet this smart and wonderful dog

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.
