Emmitt is a true sweetheart! He is a cuddler and lover, loves to kiss and stare loving into his special persons eyes. He very well behaved and loves to please. He does not dart off and comes when you call. He loves to sit on laps, especially for long marathon TV watching.  He gets along fine with cats and bigger dogs, though his foster siblings that are puppies and not mindful of his space he rather not be around. But never nips them even if he’s piled on by very happy pups. Emmy is 100% house trained and does not chew or barks unnessasary, He will bark when someone walks in or comes to the door, He foster mom calls him her little knight because he guards her wherever she is!

He has a crate with an open door that he likes to hang in, doesn't need crating because he is such a sweetie, but if you want to crate him he doesn't mind, No separation anxiety, but is THRILLED to see you when you come home.

He was a surrender pet that was at the northern shelter too long, his time was up and we were asked to rescue him. His collar was a bit too tight and has caused a cough that with healing time and medication is almost gone. He is altered and up to date with his shots. A very healthy boy, He is apprehensive of men (but warms up in a short time) and is terrified of paper, (must of been hit by it) He's nervous around children and only likes to be picked up slowly by the chest. But, hey... he's 11 lbs. and is very small and breakable :( he should be careful and guarded. Young children as company would be fine. But young children full time might stress him.

This loyal, loveable 2 to 3 year old Jack Russell / Rat Terrier mix is looking for his forever! "Forever home" All he wants is someone to love and stay next to.  His adoption fee is $200.00 and lives with his foster family in Northville. Come by and see him!

ADOPTION FEE IS $200.00

*DISCLAIMER:

We at Last Day Dog Rescue cannot and do not guarantee breed or age of its dogs/puppies listed with us for adoption. *PLEASE NOTE:

We rescue our dogs from shelters and pounds. Most often we do not have background or history information on them. In the event any information is given to us, we will include that in the dogs profile.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal.

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.

The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label.

Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by.
