My name is Guardian and I was rescued from Detroit Animal Care and Control. I am a Boxer/
Chihuahua mix and weigh 28 lbs full grown. I am only a year old and a ball of energy. If you're looking for an energetic dog, that's me! My foster mom is working on basic agility with me and I love it. I am in training classes as well at Trust & Obey Pawsitive Training. My ideal home would have a yard for me to run laps in. I am not a fit for an apartment.
Before I showed up at Detroit Animal Care & Control, my last owner was really mean to me. That doesn't stop me from loving life and trusting you however. My foster mom has done an amazing job helping me become the perfect dog for you.
I would love a home would can show me the positive of new things and give me lots of treats! A home with an invisible fence would not be ideal for me.
I love all people but a home with young kids would not be ideal because I'm wild and knock them over accidently.
I live in a foster home with 3 small dogs and a cat. I love them all. The cat won't play with us but I keep trying to include her.
I am potty trained and crate trained. I am a total lap dog and love to cuddle.

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting.
