Description:

Hello! Joel’s foster mom here. We got Joel on November 22 nd . Joel is a super sweet and snuggly dog. He loves to be by his people. He is currently living in a house with a 2 year old husky and two cats. Joel generally ignores the cats and he enjoys running around and playing with our dog. I would say Joel has a moderate energy level. He would benefit from a household where he will be taken on at least one walk per day, or a household with another dog with whom Joel could play.  Joel seems to be potty trained (we have had no accidents with him).  He loves to play fetch and horse around with toys. Joel is a goofball of a dog. We are working on his barking (specifically when guests come to the house) and love of chewing. For these reasons I believe Joel would benefit from an attentive owner who is willing to take him to a few training classes. My boyfriend and I love having Joel in our home. He will make someone a great, affectionate companion!

Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all dogs/cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the dog's/cat’s shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the dog/cat is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Dogs and cats MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our dogs and cats back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog or cat.

The  petfinder.com  system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs and cats. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
