Do you want to help at our adoption events?
This would include helping promote LDDR animals and volunteer opportunities, print and pass out fliers about LDDR, have a simple fundraiser; Craft Sale, bake sale, etc. and have proceeds benefit LDDR. Or bring a dog, most of our dogs are in foster homes but there are few that are waiting to get into a foster home and we work with local kennels consider helping these dogs get more exposure and take them to events.
*
Would you like to help with transporting dogs?
This would include receiving emails from our transport team for requests to pick up animals from Shelters and meeting up with their foster parents and or help transport to and from events, vet and kennels etc.
*
Would you like to help by doing Home Visits?
This would include being trained on observing and gather information as objectively as possible. Answer questions the Applicant may have about LDDR and the adoption process. Make a note of any information the Applicants requests that you cannot provide. Document and share the results of your visit, including any concerns or recommendations.

Would you be willing to provide help with our dogs in the kennels we work with?
This would involve; attend some training sessions, taking dogs on walks to practice leash-walking skills, transporting them to the vet, bringing them to adoption events, taking photos of them, spending time with them to learn traits about them that we can list on their webpages, and meeting potential adopters at the kennel to do the paperwork to finalize adoptions.
Would you want to volunteer to do any of the following?
We encourage you to start with just one role, so as to not overwhelm yourself. We will provide the training and mentoring needed, but will also provide a certain level of freedom for you to use your talents and creativity.
